Ms. Morris, under no circumstances should political violence be tolerated by U.S. citizens. If we allow violence civil war may occur. Having failed in the courts miserabley, Trump turned to inciting the riot at the capital- violence to where Congress people feared for their lives. Some of this violence was instilled by a Ron Cohn- Trump's mentor-to never admit defeat. Thus Trump insisted that he won the presidential election of 2020, that the election was stolen from him. Trump learn that in business contractual law is supreme, but in politics compromise is stressed. A problem arises when Trump thinking in contractual terms tries to run the government. Contracts have no morals. Trump's actions remind me of the biblical parable of the tiger and the donkey. "The worst waste of time is arguing with the fool and fanatic who does not care about truth or reality, but only the victory of his beliefs and illusions."

That’s the perfect parable to describe Trump and civil war could certainly break out in the U.S. I believe there are many who want it.

Regarding Springfield, what Trump and Vance are saying, and keep saying, to white America is that white people need to be afraid of non-white people, because they are whatever white people are afraid of. (losing money, jobs, or housing. Spreading disease, crime, violence … whatever it is.)

We all know Springfield, the mythical town of the “The Simpsons” but it was inspired by “Father Knows Best” (1949) a post war light comedy of American family set in Springfield The show espoused family values helping to shape the American suburban dream. Everyone was white.

So the real Springfield in OH represents a deeply entrenched symbol of white America being devoured by anything not matching the white American dream.

This is populist race baiting where all non-whites lose.

That is all this is.

The moment someone nods towards anything Trump says with any attempt to 'bothsiderism' or

sane-washing, they are endorsing racism.
